Boris Johnson under attack over England lockdown plans

Boris Johnson found himself under attack from both sides of the Commons today as he called for MPs to back his new lockdown plan for England. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)

Conservative backbenchers pleaded with him to lighten the restrictions on businesses and outdoor sports.

He tried to reassure them that the shutdown would only last 28 days.

Labour MPs demanded to know why he hadn't acted sooner.
