Her passing was confirmed on January 1, 2026, by her close friend and fellow content creator Drumsy, who shared that Illy experienced unexpected health complications during the Christmas week of 2025.

According to Drumsy’s statement, Illy was hospitalized, where doctors later informed her family that there were no remaining treatment options. She was kept comfortable and passed away peacefully in her sleep.

In honor of Illy’s wishes, proceeds from Drumsy’s “Illy Racing” merchandise are being donated to the Butterfly Trust, a cystic fibrosis charity that supported Illy during her life. Additional proceeds from a framed VTuber poster are being given directly to her mother.
