Preserving the Harvest: Pressure Canning Beets!
Preserving the harvest is very important when you are homesteading and trying to grow and raise most of the food for your family. We had a very successful spring harvest of beets and want to preserve it for the winter and the remainder of the year. Sarah shows the first half of the spring beet harvest, how to skin the beets, and how to pressure can them. Grace, our teenage daughter, makes an appearance and helps out. What an amazing feeling to preserve the bounty of the harvest!

****** About Living Traditions Homestead ******
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out 5 new videos every week! Monday thru Friday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we transition from city dwellers to full time homesteaders!
