Joplin https://joplinapp.org/ notes is a free, open source, self hosted note taking application that works on all platforms including Windows, Mac OS, Linux, iOS, and Android.

Joplin Notes can be synchronized through several methods including NextCloud, Dropbox, Webdav, and OneDrive.

Notes entry is done with Mark Down, but there are handy UI buttons to help you create the right mark-down when you need it.

You can change and manage your notes offline, and they'll sync (if you've setup syncing) the next time you connect.

You can also control your notes and content completely by syncing through a self hosted Next Cloud server.
