Margaret Thatcher recites "No Enemies" by Charles Mackay to Queen Elizabeth - The Crown, season four

There is a wonderful scene in The Crown season four when Margaret Thatcher (played by Gillian Anderson) meets with Queen Elizabeth (played by Olivia Colman). England's economy was in a tough spot at the time and Thatcher's favorability as Prime Minister had taken a hit. Thatcher had just fired several people on her cabinet because they were weak as a consequence of being wealthy and entitled. The Queen tells Thatcher that she’s playing a “dangerous game” making so many enemies. Thatcher replies she is comfortable with having enemies and recites the poem “No Enemies” by Charles Mackay. It's a powerful moment illustrating why Thatcher was known as the Iron Lady ― even though it's unlikely Thatcher actually quoted the poem to the Queen. Yet Thatcher was known to be fond of the poem: a 2019 BBC documentary revealed she kept the poem on her desk.
