Meet Gemma, our gorgeous girl! Gemma is a sparkling diamond in the “ruff,” and a real life “gem,” if you will! This fun loving and energetic young girl is looking for someone to help polish her up and let her truly shine.

Adopters should know that Gemma has a condition called exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), which means her pancreas doesn’t make all the enzymes that it should. Thanks to an important daily medication, EPI doesn’t slow her down one bit! This medication comes in a powder that is easily sprinkled over meals, so it’s very easy to give thanks to Gemma’s love of food!

Miss Gemma is a spunky pup who would love to be your adventure buddy. She can sometimes have a lot to say when she sees other dogs, so a meet-and-greet for any potential canine siblings is recommended to make sure they mesh well together. She is very food motivated, which should make her a dream to continue training with her—she’ll give all she has in exchange for some yummy treats!
