Thule Access 9037 2" Swing-Away Hitch Base transforms your bike rack or hitch basket into a swing away allowing ample clearance and easy access for tail gates, rear hatches, and rear mounted spare tires. The Thule Access Swing-Away Hitch Base is compatible with 2" hitches only and holds up to 250 lbs maximum. The Access accepts 2" hitch mounted bike racks and baskets only. Access swings out 90 degrees toward the passenger side of your vehicle and locks in place preventing it from unexpectedly swinging back toward the rear of the vehicle. Note: do not attempt to swing the unit out while parked on a hill. Hitch mounted bike racks with 2" adapters are not compatible with the Thule Access hitch base. The Access is not recommended for towed trailers or RV's.
