On October 13, 2025, SpaceX successfully conducted the Starship Integrated Flight Test 11 (IFT-11) from Starbase, Texas, marking the final test of the Block 2 Starship system before transitioning to the advanced Block 3. The mission, launched from Orbital Launch Pad A, involved Super Heavy Booster 15 and Starship Ship 38, achieving all objectives: a clean ascent and hot-staging separation, a precise booster hover and soft splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico, successful payload door operation with eight Starlink satellite simulators deployed, an in-space Raptor engine relight, and a controlled ship reentry with a soft landing in the Indian Ocean. Despite minor tile loss during a stress-tested reentry, the flight provided critical data for reusability and future upgrades, advancing SpaceX’s goals for NASA’s Artemis program, Mars missions, and affordable space access, with launch costs projected to drop significantly.
