The Ocean Anchorage

Minerva Reef. 300 miles from the closest land of Tonga and Fiji, you find Minerva Reefs. Two atolls with no land. Every hightide the reef are awash. They are a perfect spot to stop in a sailboat if you need a break from bad weather as I did this year. I sort refuge from 35-45 kts winds and 4 m seas. Inside the lagoon it was pretty calm other than the wind. 25 boats were there taking shelter from the nasty weather.
