The elephants are being used to load the logs in the lorries ....one such incident I witnessed near Munnar.....The elephant shown in the video, in question is in fact used mainly to carry the visiting tourists for a price.and many a time whenever I pass through this route I use to feed sumptuously without any limitation as I feel for them.....however in the lean period, when tourists movement is less, these poor elephants are being used for such work as shown above, to earn more money....without even giving them some rest !! so much greed these men have...
