Energetic Practices to Support the Back (and the rest of the BODY)

Energetic boundaries are key to having dignity and self respect. This somatic exercise was developed to fill in the gaps in our child hood. Where are care givers might of dropped the ball arounds these developmental stages. It addresses the needs structure 1 month - 1 1/2 years old. Autonomy structure 8months - 2 1/2 years and will structure 2-4 years old. It’s good to ponder if at any points between these years that our parents or ourselves might have had been going through some trauma or difficulty. Practicing this exercise 2-3 times a day for 21 days makes this a new positive change in our psychology using visualization, breath and sound to permanently change our mind using our body.

Shaking is a profound way to release excess tension in the tissues, it’s also amazing to release trauma from a stressful day at work or after a difficult conversation with friends or loved ones. There’s so many ways we can integrate shaking, its great to help the nervous system to calm down after being overwhelmed. Again using visualization to imagine tension releasing from the tissue, staying with this internal rhythm that fluctuates from slow and steady to faster and spontaneous bounces. Adding the breath that helps to tune in deeper to the body and releasing more emotions and tension by using sounds and lengthening the exhale. Remember to be mindful of when you bounce up on the toes on an inhale and exhale and you heals hit the ground. It’s Best to practice shaking when ever your feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
