Analysing Muttiah Muralitharan’s Dangerous Delivery - Cricflikstories #cricketshorts #cricket

Muralitharan’s dismissal came from classical off-spin deception built through drift, dip, and late turn. Bowling from a slightly wider angle, he targeted the rough outside the left-hander’s off stump, inviting the batsman to commit forward in defense.

The ball drifted in toward middle stump during flight, forcing the batsman to play with the bat slightly away from the pad. As the front foot pressed forward, Murali’s heavy revolutions generated sharp turn back into the batsman. The late deviation exploited the gap between bat and pad — a common weakness against high-quality off spin.

Because of the dip, the bat came down fractionally late while the pad moved across the line. The ball spun past the inside edge and crashed into the stumps, completing a classic off-spinner’s dismissal through deception in the air rather than sheer pace off the surface.
