Door One — The Library of Memory.
Endless shelves. Yellow light. The scent of old paper. The floor vibrates slightly.
Food and Water: On the shelves sit glasses of water and plates of plain crackers. They appear every six hours.
Sleep: Old armchairs are scattered among the shelves. You may sleep in them. However, while you sleep, you will hear whispering.
Threat: The Corrector resides within the library. He cannot see, but he can hear breathing. If you sleep for more than two consecutive hours, he will begin rearranging the books near you until he finds you. You must sleep in short bursts and change your location every 90 minutes.
Door Two — The Waiting Hall.
An old railway station. The 1970s. The display boards are non-functional. Escalators lead nowhere. Plastic seats are everywhere.
Food and Water: Vending machines offer soda and chocolate bars. The machines are operational, but they dispense food only once every four hours.
Sleep: The seats are uncomfortable, but you can sleep in them. The most important rule is never to rest your head on someone else's bag, should you spot one on an adjacent seat.
Threat: The Conductor. He appears if you remain in the same spot for longer than three hours. He is not aggressive. However, if he sits down opposite you and begins to speak, do not answer. The moment you speak in return, he will offer to let you "get off at the next station." Where that leads remains unknown.
Door Three — The Aquarium.
An underground complex featuring massive water tanks. Glass tunnels. Blue-green lighting. The water is crystal clear, yet something moves behind the glass.
Food and Water: Water drips from the pipes. It is safe to drink only after boiling. Old electric kettles can be found in the utility rooms. Food: algae and small crustaceans found in the technical pools. They taste salty, but are edible.
Sleep: You may only sleep in the hermetically sealed compartments—areas where there is no direct contact with the glass.
The Threat: The Deep Dweller. It cannot see, but it senses the vibrations of footsteps. If you run, it will come for you. If you stand perfectly still, it will swim right past. The water purification system activates once every six hours; this is the only time you can move about noisily.
