How Fast (Slow) do my Acropora Grow - Let's Look at 3 Examples

We take a look at the speed at which a few of my acropora have grown from frags to colonies. The acropora that we are looking at in this video are Lavender Unicorn Bunnies, ORA Hawkins Echinata, and Strawberry Shortcake acropora.

I meant to make a similar video years ago after being inspired by Abe at Coral Euphoria, but during times when I was too busy, I wouldn't take the pictures required. That is why during this video, you will notice large time skips for most of the acros. Unfortunately, these 3 had the most pictures. If you guys like this type of video, I will try to ensure there are sufficient pictures for future frags.

Some of the lessons I have learned from the past three and a half years, acropora frags take time to acclimate to your system, and in my experience a lot of them will lose that initial coloration you receive. I believe this is because the frag has now become the main colony and therefore, its coloration from being a growth tip changes as it adapts to becoming its own colony.

They do hit growth spurts when they reach a certain point. I wouldn't be fragging acros too early.
