Labradorite - Lets Talk Stones

Labradorite is a stone that has captured the imagination of the world for hundreds of years, while having been known to the local natives for centuries longer. An original tale, from the local people believed that labrodorite had been left behind during the northern lights, and long before the european market craved the magical color of labradorite, local tribes were crushing this stone into powder to relieve a myriad of physical ailments.
Labradorite is a stone that has been associated with magic and imagination since it's discovery. A seemingly bland stone suddenly turns into a color storm of blues, green,yellows and pinks, who wouldn't see the magic there? That explosion of color occurs because as light enters the stone, it bounces back and forth between the layers that have formed within the stone, and as it comes into contact with the different layers, different colors are reflected back to the eye. This colorful brilliance all depends on a few different things to line up, the angle of the stone, the angle of the light entering the stone and the also the angle that the individual is seeing the stone - when all of these factors line up, pow! There's the color flash.
