Rhino MCP for Beginners – Full Walkthrough + Setup

In this video, I explain what MCP is, specifically how Rhino MCP works, and break down a few key terms around the topic.

PowerShell Codes (remember to run as admin) -
1. Allow PowerShell to run downloaded scripts
Code = Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope CurrentUser

2. Download and install uv and uvx (used by Rhino MCP to communicate with Claude)
Code = powershell -c "irm https://astral.sh/uv/install.ps1 | iex"

3. (Optional) Add uvx to your session PATH
Code = $env:Path = "C:\Users\kedar\.local\bin;$env:Path"
(*Replace kedar with your actual Windows username)

Claude Configuration File Code. This tells Claude how to launch Rhino MCP when it runs the uvx command -
