For Gordon, this was more than just a port stop… it was a return after 45 years. And for both of us, it turned out to be one of the most meaningful and memorable days of our entire trip.

Yatsushiro is not a typical cruise port. It’s not crowded or overly touristy—and that’s exactly what makes it so special. This is a place where you can truly experience everyday life in Japan.

• Walk through peaceful gardens and local neighborhoods
• Visit a local grocery store (always one of our favorites!)
