Clamping Tonnage Caluclation & The Steps

There are 4 different clamping styles
#1 Toggle, #2 Hydraulic, #3 2-Plate, #4 C-Frame
I go over the Steps on what you look for when sizing a press.
I go over the calculation for finding the clamp tonnage needed for a mold you need to run.
Fast flowing material is 2 tons per squared inch & Low flow will be 8 tons per squared inch.
Rule of thumb is a lot of mold builders use 5 tons per squared inch.
