Mindo Ecuador, Cloud Forest River Fishing for New Years

Road trip from Quito to Mindo, Ecuador. Fishing for tilapia and trout in the Esmeraldas River (also known as Rio Cinto). Hiking in the cloud forest at night. Driving over the Andes Mountains. We stayed at a nice little place called the Wood Town Hotel (also called Cabanas de Pino). While the kids played in the pool, my wife and I were able to relax a little bit. This is how to enjoy New Years with kids. I'm very excited about the kids learning how to fish and spending more time in nature and especially in the jungle. Hopefully adventures like these will become our typical day to day life here in the Andes Mountains
