Harley Joy Ride 1937 UL flathead Restoration (7 of 7)

I sold my last Harley in 1980 when I was 22. A 1962 Duo Glide that I completely rebuilt (see pictures in my 1st video). Harleys are in my blood, when I hear or see one I get that good feeling. I turned 59 in 2017 & discussed with my wife building one more for my 60th birthday. End of Aug 2017 I found/bought a sweet classic, a 1937 Big Twin 74 cubic inch Flathead UL (2 days before I bought it I broke my left wrist). Throughout the late fall & winter of 2017/2018 I started the teardown. Making a list of repairs & parts needed. As you see in the videos I do all the work myself, mechanical, wheels, wiring, welding, paint, etc.. I turned 60 in Feb of 2018 & it took me approx. 6-months to complete it. Finished bike the end of Sept. 2018. I have 8 videos. The first 4-videos are a slide show of the tear down & rebuild. The last 4-videos show the bike starting, running & me riding her. I never rode a foot clutch, hand shift Harley before & took me a couple of hours to get the feel of it. Happy 60th birthday to me, and what a thrill being back in the saddle after 38yrs!
