Black Ops 7 Zombies: Paradox Junction Directed Mode - Full Easter Egg Playthrough & Guided Quest (Season 3)
In this video, we tackle Paradox Junction Directed Mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies – the guided, streamlined version of the map that launched with Season 3. Directed Mode adds on-screen quest step highlights, objective markers, and a round cap of 15 for the Main Quest, making the full Easter Egg accessible for casual players and completionists alike while still delivering the map’s signature time-bending chaos.
We go step-by-step through every milestone, from assembling the Blundergat Wonder Weapon to battling the Dark Heart, unlocking the exclusive Timeshatter Blundergat blueprint, the “Paradox Junction Directed Mode Completion” Calling Card, and 5,000 XP.
Map Backstory & Lore:
Paradox Junction dropped on March 11, 2026, as part of Season Two Reloaded. It’s set inside a pocket dimension of the Dark Aether featuring two overlapping versions of Nuketown – one untouched before the nuclear detonation and one ravaged afterward. Players seamlessly shift between the pre-nuke and post-nuke timelines (automatically after Rad-Hound rounds or manually via the Temporal Conduit), creating a literal time-loop prison.
Following the events of Astra Malorum, the combined Ex-Requiem and Dark Aether crews – “Tank” Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki, Edward Richtofen, Grigori Weaver, Elizabeth Grey, Mackenzie Carver, and Maya Aguinaldo, plus the mysterious Entity that aided them – are captured by Jack “The Warden” McGregor. As punishment for the “mess” they caused, the Warden hurls them into this cursed Nuketown pocket, declaring they can “think about what they’ve done” while trapped in endless cycles of destruction and rebirth.
The crews soon encounter the voices of two enigmatic Twin girls who inhabit the map. Playful yet eerie, the Twins know far more than they let on – referencing Samantha Maxis, Primis, The Great War, and events from prior universes. One Twin carries Samantha’s childhood memories; the other, her adult recollections. They decide to help the crews escape the Warden’s temporal trap by guiding them through twisted children’s games (hopscotch, four square) and the assembly of the classic Blundergat Wonder Weapon. Their ultimate goal: destroy the Dark Heart powering the loop and open a portal to the Agarthan House…
with a chilling hint that their next destination is somewhere “cold.”
Directed Mode preserves all this rich lore through audio logs, environmental storytelling, and the full cinematic experience while providing gentle guidance so you can focus on surviving the horde and uncovering the story. We also cover how the map expands the classic Nuketown layout with Omnimovement wall-running, exclusive utilities per timeline (Loot Cysts, etc.), and hidden side Easter Eggs like the musical track “Come Back Down.”
Whether you’re a Zombies veteran chasing every Calling Card or a newer player wanting the full story without the usual frustration, Paradox Junction Directed Mode is one of the smartest quality-of-life additions in Black Ops 7 Zombies.
