Archaeological Studies Program, UP Diliman | 09 Sept 2020

Gold is economically important, but it's also culturally important to the ancient Filipinos. Dr. Nina Capistrano-Baker talks about the importance of studying gold as materials in the Philippines, using the Leandro and Cecilia Locsin gold collection at the Ayala Museum, Makati City. Check out what information we can get about the past, and how archaeologists use this to understand past cultures in the Philippines. Eventually, she hopes that more academics collaborate with researchers in Island Southeast Asia to compare design and material.
