Classic Butter and Sage Gnocchi Sauce - The Pasta Queen
Let’s make a classic Italian recipe!
— Homemade Butter and Sage Gnocchi
The perfect, cute little gnocchi paired with an easy and delicious sauce!
Ingredients:
- 150 g gnocchi per person
- 30 g parmigiano cheese
- 120 g salted butter
- Handful of almonds
- 4-5 leaves of sage
Recipe:
1. Boil a pot of water for you gnocchi.
2. Chop the butter into little pieces and melt it.
3. As the butter is melting, add the sage leaves and let them sizzle for a couple minutes for the sage to release its delicious flavor.
4. Lower the gnocchi into the boiling water. Once they float to the surface, drain them and add them to your sauce. (Don’t forget to add your pasta water!)
5. Add the parmigiana cheese and mix it all together.
6. Toast the almonds for 30-40 seconds until they turn light brown.
7. Plate it with some extra Parmesan and throw your toasted almonds ontop
Bonus tip: add a few sage leaves for the perfect garnish
