ASUS Raises RTX 50 Blackwell Prices in China as GDDR7 Tightens

ASUS has reportedly raised pricing in China for GeForce RTX 50 series Blackwell GPUs, citing broader memory component pressure in the semiconductor supply chain. The biggest move is on RTX 5090 D v2 models, up around 500 RMB (about 72 dollars), with additional increases across RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070, RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB, and RTX 5060 SKUs. Even older entry cards like GT 1030 and GT 710 are reportedly seeing smaller uplifts. A key contrast is AMD: Radeon RX 9000 and RX 7000 pricing is said to remain unchanged in this update cycle, likely helped by better GDDR6 supply versus GDDR7 constraints. For buyers, the practical takeaway is simple: if Blackwell inventory remains memory-constrained, street pricing pressure may persist beyond launch windows, especially on popular performance tiers. Platform value now depends as much on supply dynamics as raw FPS charts. Subscribe to Silicon Drop for daily tech hardware updates!
