Lorne Armstrong (born: October 18, 1970) is an infamous YouTuber and child predator who was caught trying to solicit a minor on a Dateline sting. He used the platform that he accumulated from this to try and make it as a country singer and a YouTube-star. He has yet to succeed.

Background

On October 18, 2007, (ironically his birthday), Lorne arrived at Dateline's sting house in Bowling Green, Kentucky, hoping to have sexual relations with a girl he believed to be underaged. After being brought inside the house and talked to by the decoy, Chris Hansen revealed himself and interrogated the man. After a long interrogation, Chris revealed himself to be who he really was, Lorne tried to leave and was shortly arrested. He was then brought to the police station were he was interrogated.

YouTube

In 2017, Lorne decided to try and turn the platform that he had earned into something positive, and started a YouTube channel. Here he would do songs on his guitar, workout videos, cooking, updates, and even tried to advertise his own business of which he made his own website for. Despite his best efforts, he was never seen as the reformed individual that he aspired for everyone to see him as. Typically, his videos were very disliked and slandered by all those who stumbled upon them (those being people who knew who he was). At first, he was blind to this, unlike user "ArtsyTiger" messaged him and informed him that the attention he was receiving was in fact slander. This is when he made his last, and currently his most popular video confronting his "trolls," only to receive the same response all his videos did, to a higher extent. He made a video prior to this stating that he did not want to be identified as "Mr. Penis," which was a title he had given himself during his interaction with the decoy. Ultimately, he stopped uploading because of the backlash he was receiving.

The Cat-Fishing Scandal

Also in 2017, a girl whom identified herself as "Ramona" attempted to and succeed in cat fishing Lorne by creating a long-distance relationship with him. The goal of cat fishing him was to explore who he really was as a person. The cat fisher worked with two users who were well-versed on Lorne known as "Ember Infierno" and "Sam Pendleton" to carry out the operation. They would upload the calls that occurred between the two, which would typically last for about eight hours at a time. These calls tended to expose Lorne's private insecurities, including his thoughts on his "To Catch A Predator" appearance and his problems with alcohol. This would often lead to lots of shouting. This series of events led to have two sides of the community that was familiar with Lorne to feud over weather or not he deserved to be catfished. This also led to more user to try and catfish Lorne. One in particular, posing as the real decoy/actress at the sting, ended up getting close to him, talking about drug addiction and even confessing her feelings to him. He claimed to have known about being cat fished, but according to his behavior while being cat fished, this is false.

Other Past Arrests

Lorne was arrested for a DUI for running his van into the side of a home. The date of this occurrence is unspecified.

Alcoholism

In 2019, Lorne was arrested a second time for not being able to pass his rehabilitation class of which he attended for five years. Reasons include not taking responsibility for his actions and having shown up drunk to the class.

This on top of other drinking issues led him to face imprisonment until February of 2020.

"The Church of Cawd"

The Church of Cawd was a satirical "religious" internet subculture. "The Holy Lornography," is the four hundred and seven page long chat between Lorne and the decoy. Members of this satirical "religion" have even shown up to Cornville just to stop by.
