Tutorial: Basic Miniature Room Box using Cardboard [CC]

A tutorial on creating the basic structure of a miniature room box using cardboard.

I’ve learned a few things in creating these room boxes and I thought it might be worth sharing the process I am using. It’s fairly simple, so if you have been intimidated by miniatures in the past give it a try; with cardboard. Reuse all those shipping boxes and if it doesn’t work out you didn’t waste much.

Supplies:
•Ruler, Carpenter Square, or Stencil.
•Pencil.
•Box cutter, Knife, or a Sturdy Pair of Scissors.
•Cardboard
•Glue (All-purpose craft glue or Hot Glue. Further notes in video)
•Tape
•Gesso
•Modeling Paste (optional)
