With his trademark blend of muffed magic, mirth and music, Tommy Cooper was a constant presence on television for four decades - instantly recognisable by his towering height, hopeless jokes, exquisitely bad timing and trademark fez. An institution in his own right, he always produced critically and commercially successful shows and, out of the entirety of his output, arguably his finest moments were the nine editions of THE TOMMY COOPER HOUR, produced by Thames Television in the 1970s.
