Stan Skibby: Born and raised on Chicago's southside, Stan began singing and dancing at the age of five. When he was eight, Stan taught himself how to play drums and bass guitar, being inspired by the beats of James Brown's music. Stan first heard the music of Jimi Hendrix on Sept. 18,1970. Older brother Calvin brought home the classic (Band of Gypsys) and (Are You Experienced) albums.
Stan's music encounters with great Blues artist such as; Lefty Dizz the guitar Wizz, Albert King, Chuck Berry, Hubert Sumlin, Ko Ko Taylor, Buddy Guy, Phil Guy, John Primer, Otis rush, Magic Slim, Willie Big eye Smith, Lonnie Brooks, Toronzo Cannon, Tommy Mccracken, Eddie the chief Clearwater, Big Jimmy J., Bo Didley, Ralph Metcalfe jr., Willie Dixon's Blues Heaven foundation, Shirley Dixon, Billy Branch, Carlos Johnson, Leszek Cichonski, and many, many others in the Chicago Blues and Polish Blues/rock community. One of Skibby's greatest dreams came true when he played with Hendrix's bassist, Billy Cox at the 1995 Hendrix birthday tribute at Buddy Guy Legends. Skibby has toured Poland nine (9) times giving tribute to his fallen hero Jimi Hendrix, from year 2000 to 2007.
