There's a 'clear split' in the Labor Party

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton says there’s a “clear split” in the Labor Party.

Mr Dutton’s remarks come after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese ruled out changes to Labor’s negative gearing policy.

'You’ve had multiple statements by Jim Chalmers, the Treasurer, saying that tax reform is worth nothing unless it includes changes to capital gains and to negative gearing,' Mr Dutton told Sky News Australia.

“Now what he says changes – he means an increase in tax or abolition of any tax arrangements that might confer on someone.”
