Sometimes shame makes you think coming back to God depends on saying it the right way.

So you rehearse the apology, try to sound sorry enough, and keep delaying the return.

But in Luke 15, the prodigal son came home with a speech ready — and before he could finish, his father ran to him.

The Father was not waiting for the perfect speech. He was waiting for his son.

Luke 15:20 — “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran…”
