Samsung Galaxy S21 vs Pixel 5 | Camera, Gaming, Battery & Beyond

Comparing Samsung's Galaxy S21 5G vs Google's Pixel 5, to see which flagship phone is best for camera performance, battery life, gaming and more in 2021. While the Plus and Ultra models boast the greatest tech, including insane optics on the Ultra, the vanilla Samsung S21 is still a solid smartphone. However, the £769 UK price is a big step up from the £599 Pixel 5, which gives it a good run for its money.

On the camera front, the Galaxy wins for telephoto smarts and also video capture with its highly flexible setup. You get full Pro controls, 8K smarts and lots of great features. That said, Google's flagship is still great for point and shoot simplicity, producing great quality photos.

Samsung's Exynos 2100 chipset means the Galaxy S21 is far more powerful vs the Pixel 5, and better for gaming thanks to the Game Boost features. However, that cheaper rival is still good for gamers and can deal with everyday tasks no problem. Plus, the Pixel is better than that 2021 smartphone for battery life, getting you through a full day no problem.

Do you prefer stock Android 11, or Samsung's One UI 3.1 launcher? This brings a lot of new features and improved customisation, but also duplicate apps aplenty.
