5th Behindwoods Gold Medal Awards 2018 conducted on June 17th at Chennai Trade Centre. The event was a solid success with the presence of prominent actors from the industry. Hosts Keerthi Shanthanu and Maathevan successfully struck a chord with the audience.

Aalaporan Tamizhan is the first word which we got for the song. My first thank for A R Rahman sir. I'm very happy and its lifetime proud to write this song for Thalapathy Vijay. Thanking Director Atlee for giving the opportunity to write the song. Tamil people own the lyrics and the historic Jallikattu moment inspired me so much to write the song.
