Delicious Vanilla Cupcakes | Buttercream Floral Piping
These Vanilla Cupcakes are perfectly delicious! They are easy to make, not to sweet, with a perfect texture, and are easily paired up with any buttercream.
You can also pretty them up with some floral butterceam piping!
Delicious Vanilla Cupcakes
Ingredients:
1 ¼ Cups AP Flour (162.5 grams)
1 tsp Baking Powder (4 grams)
2 Tbsp Cornstarch (20 grams)
½ tsp Salt (4.5 grams)
½ Cup Milk (120 grams)
1 ½ tsp Vinegar (7.5 grams)
2 tsp Vanilla (8.5 grams)
2 Large Eggs (100 grams)
¾ Cups Sugar (150 grams)
¼ Cup Melted Butter (60 grams)
1/3 Cup Oil (60 grams)
Preheat your oven to 350 F (177 °C) and line 2 muffin trays with paper or silicone liners.
Mix the 1 ½ tsp vinegar with ½ cup milk and add 2 tsp vanilla extract. Set aside.
Mix the dry ingredients by combining the 1 ¼ cup flour with 2 tbsp cornstarch, ½ tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder and ½ tsp salt. Whisk to combine and set aside.
Melt the butter in the microwave or on the stovetop until just melted, weigh 60 grams and set aside.
Whisk the 2 eggs and ¾ cup sugar, until just combined and then add 1/3 cup oil and ¼ cup (60 grams) of melted butter. Whisk to combine. Add the soured milk or buttermilk & vanilla. Mix it through, add the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined and no lumps are visible.
Fill the cupcake liners 2/3 full and bake at 350 F(177 C) for 14 minutes, or until a skewer or cake tester comes out clean. Let the cupcakes sit in the tray for about 2 minutes and then take them out onto a cooling rack to cool for another 10 minutes or so, until cool to the touch.
Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days. If the cupcakes are frosted with buttercream store them in the fridge for 4-5 days.

Use Wilton petal tip #104 and round tip #12 for piping floral cupcakes. Follow the directions in the video to create open petal and rose flower.
