You may have noticed that I never pester you to like or subscribe in my videos, and that I've never cut into videos for an ad break. That's because I have a real grown-up job that pays my bills. My YouTube channel is just so I can share my hobbies with other weirdos.

I don't talk about my real job on the channel too often because a lot of the science is proprietary, but I decided to share some non-trade-secret stuff in this video. After many years repairing laboratory equipment at a biotech company, I've collected some pretty funny photos and videos of what happens when things go wrong. Sometimes it's just the unavoidable wear and tear on machinery that runs 24/7, sometimes it's premature failure caused by improper maintenance, and sometimes it's just caused by the people using them.
