Unsung Hero, artist and activist KHA Sros is a proud representative of the Kouy community in Steung Treng province, near the border of Laos. Kouy are an indigenous people of Southeast Asia with native lands across Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. KHA Sros has witnessed changes to her culture due to environmental destruction, deforestation and economic pressures on younger generations. My Village Traditions tells the story of her community’s ways of living, beliefs, language, and the threatened relationship between their intangible cultural heritage and nature.
