This Is One of My Most Anticipated Games of 2027! - The Lift Playtest EP1

We finally got access to the playtest for The Lift: Supernatural Handyman Simulator and honestly, this might be one of the biggest surprises I've played recently. In this first episode we dive into the opening few hours of the game, learning the core systems, exploring the abandoned research facility and slowly uncovering the bizarre mystery at the heart of the world.

At its core, The Lift blends renovation and repair gameplay with supernatural sci-fi horror in a way that immediately reminded me of games like Control, Pacific Drive and even House Flipper, with a little bit of The Last Caretaker mixed in as well. You're repairing rooms, cleaning up damaged areas and restoring systems inside this massive facility, all while strange anomalies, unsettling discoveries and a genuinely intriguing narrative slowly begin to unfold around you.

So far, I'm thoroughly impressed. Performance has been excellent during the playtest, the gameplay systems feel satisfying to engage with and the atmosphere they've built here is incredibly strong. The SCP Foundation inspiration especially comes through in a really good way. This is going to be a short mini Let's Play series across 3 episodes because I absolutely want to see more of where this story is heading.
