Hyundai Tucson EGR Removal Step By Step Pt1

My Hyundai Tucson completely cut out one evening on the way home from work. Pulled in and came to a stop just round a bad bend at the foot of a hill. Absolutely no throttle response whatsoever when lumpy ticking over and then died completely and wouldn't start.
Had to be recovered on a truck and it's taken 12 days to get it working again. It wouldn't start at all and I suspected contaminated fuel as I'd only filled up to the top 15 minutes before.
I removed the fuel filter and changed that, removed the pump from the diesel tank and pumped out ALL the fuel, flushed the fuel lines, checked and cleaned the EGR valve and refitted it all again.

It started! - Then broke down only a quarter of a mile from home and had to tow it home - slowly, it's an automatic, on and the poor quality Brand New Towing strap snapped in that distance, right in front of the car shop man I bought it from that day!

So, LOTS of head scratching, frustration and swearing and I've changed the EGR valve for a new one. It seems to be working.
