Goodyear and Cooper Tire Merger! | $GT and $CTB Stock Analysis

A few weeks ago it was mentioned that Goodyear would be taking over Cooper tire this year in a merger set to happen later this year.

Goodyear and Cooper Tire have seen better days as you'll notice when we do our stock analysis using our 8 Pillars to check the fundamentals of these companies. Both $GT and $CTB are leaders in the tire game and some are likely wondering why they are merging...the answer is given in this video.

On the outside, tire companies aren't hype stocks that a lot of people are getting interested in. In fact as you watch the video, you'll notice that Goodyear especially, is a dying company as they are seeing considerable drops in their revenue YOY and overall fundamentally they aren't strong. Same thing with Cooper Tire, they aren't doing much better. Both these companies merging starts to make a lot of sense when you look at it from this perspective.

Goodyear and Cooper Tire may be looking to make some synergy with each other. This is going to be one where they may compliment themselves and potentially save some on cost.
