Hi All,
As you see me and rick build this wide set of #stairs let me tell you shortly about this project.
This project was done at the same place where we made a big space for performing arts. This space in particular is for office work and lecturing to a group of people.
Next to this #cabin two other offices are also placed.

This project is a cool example how even a small affordable #cnc machine can speed up a custom design.
This is a #hybrid because the first cutout was used as a template for the other parts.
Usually the information on a custom design is quite difficult to transfer but with digital manufacturing the drafting and drawing step is made a lot easier. And for the next carpenter or furniture maker the reproducing gets easier and more consistent in the tolerance.
So about this design the stringers are 18mm or ¾” spruce plywood and are thickened under the long threads. And the the treads are spruce boards in available dimensional lumber. 40x250mm, a 2 by 10.
The feathering out of the treads and the chamfer cut on the ends make the treads visually lighter and refined. A normal straight cut would be a bit less interesting to see.
