It seems counterintuitive, but an F1 car operates on a level of data complexity that dwarfs modern aerospace engineering. With 280 physical sensors and 300 virtual ones, these machines generate nearly 2 million data points every second. That is four times the volume of data produced by a SpaceX rocket. By running sensors at a staggering 100,000 hertz, the engineering team is essentially pushing the boundaries of real-time mathematics and vehicle telemetry to the absolute limit.
