Sermon: Made to Rest (Genesis 2:1-3), 10 August 2025

A day of rest is a day when I cease from my normal work activities and efforts. It is a day when I remember that I am finite, and God is infinite. It is a day when I enjoy the blessings God has given me in my family, friends, and the world. It is a day when God grants me permission to rest physically, be spiritually refreshed, and be recharged relationally. It is a day when I remember my Creator, Savior, and King.

4 Steps of starting a day of rest:
1. Pick a day.
2. Cease from normal work activities.
3. Find ways to enjoy God and others.
4. Let your body stop and refuel.
