ABOUT MUNCIE, INDIANA
Welcome to Muncie, IN. We are looking at both CSX's Indianapolis Line (ap T 230), and NS's Frankfort (at MP 174.4) and New Castle Districts (at MP 119.8)
The Indianapolis Line Sub runs east from Indianapolis towards Bellefontaine, OH (eventually to Cleveland), and is the former Ohio Division of the New York Central RR (NYC), i.e., the Indianapolis-Cleveland mainline of the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago & St. Louis RY ("Big Four") subsidiary. The number of trains per 24 hours on the Indianapolis Line Sub is 11, and the maximum authorized speed is 30 MPH.
The Frankfort District runs from Frankfort, IN, to the Ohio state line, and is the former Nickel Plate Road (NKP) mainline between Peoria, IN, and Sandusky, OH, via Bloomington, Lafayette, Frankfort, Muncie, Lima, and Fostoria. The number of trains per 24 hours on the Frankfort District is 5, and the maximum authorized speed is 40 MPH.
The New Castle District is also former NKP territory, and before that was the Fort Wayne, Muncie, and Cincinnati RR, from Ft. Wayne south via Muncie. The number of trains per 24 hours on the New Castle District is 24, and the maximum authorized speed is 15 MPH.

CHAT ETIQUETTE:
Please follow these simple rules to keep our chat friendly and fun:
• We are a US-based channel and require English to be used in our chats. Multiple languages at once can be confusing.
• Be respectful. No inappropriate usernames, avatars, or language. Follow the moderators’ guidance.
• We love train talk! Be polite, welcoming, and respectful to others.
• Personal issues (like health or legal matters) and sensitive topics (like politics, race, religion or graphic details of accidents) should be kept private.
• Avoid using the term “foamer,” as it can be offensive.
• No shouting (all caps) and keep emoji use in check. Too many emojis can spam the chat.
• Be clear—misunderstandings can happen, especially for those using translation tools.
