How to: broken snowmobile tie-rod quick fix while on the trails, lower ball joint fail

My lower ball-joint failed and my right ski folded under me, braking my tie-rod, so I had no way to steer my right ski.Thankfully the top ball-joint was still okay, but the ski still had a mind of its own. I was able to limp home with this quick fix to the skis, so that I would have some limited steering capabilities. So luck would have it, I was not going very fast when it failed, or things could have gotten very interesting.
