Flexi Parking Throwback: 8TV Reports on Subang Jaya's Initial Reactions to Flexi Parking App (2016)

Many of you might not remember, but back in 2016, Flexi Parking was featured on 8TV. A news reporter hit the streets of Subang Jaya, asking locals what they thought about a new parking payment app. The response? Skepticism and concern. People were used to scratching parking coupons—something familiar and safe. The idea of switching to an app seemed unnecessary and risky.

Fast forward eight years, and what a transformation we've seen. Not only has Subang Jaya fully embraced Flexi Parking, but the entire state of Selangor has gone completely cashless. Today, Malaysians from KL and Selangor traveling to other states often express a different frustration to us. The most common feedback we hear is, "Why can't Flexi Parking be available in more PBTs and states in Malaysia?"

As of May 2024, Subang Jaya alone has close to 1 million active Flexi Parking users. This journey wasn't easy. It was filled with doubts, challenges, and countless hours of hard work. But it also showed us the power of perseverance and the importance of staying committed to the vision.
