This specialist assessment certifies you to safely install, exchange, commission, and disconnect domestic gas meters (up to 6m³/h). Whether you are working on new installations or performing essential maintenance, MET1 is a key requirement for any engineer wanting to provide a comprehensive service to their clients.

What’s Covered in This Course:
✅ Installation & Exchange: Mastering the correct procedures for fitting, swapping, and removing primary and secondary gas meters.
✅ Meter Positioning: Understanding the strict regulations regarding meter housing, boxes, and safe locations.
✅ Tightness Testing & Purging: Ensuring the meter and its connections are 100% leak-free and correctly purged.
✅ Regulator Settings: Learning how to check and set domestic gas meter regulators to ensure correct operating pressures.
✅ Safety Documentation: Identifying unsafe situations and correctly applying emergency notices and warning labels.

Prerequisites: Candidates must hold a current CCN1 (Core Domestic Gas Safety) certificate.
