Well, it's apparently been six months since I last made a video...

That being said, here's my face again!

The last few months had its ups, and it had its downs and for most of us, this year started with some serious lows. For me, it began with the loss of my child Kai, who you may or may not have seen in some of my videos, followed by a breakup.

Everything felt like it was falling to pieces, but I had to do something about it. 2018 is supposed to be a good year... right?

A couple of years back, I heard of this thing called Ayahuasca. Now, since then it's always intrigued me, and as such, I was looking to get in on that. Thing is though, many times we try to do things but it just never works out. Turns out, well if you believe in that stuff, that it's not always the right time when we think it is. Moving on and ...

Long story short, I eventually got my chance to go to an Ayahuasca retreat and boy was I scared. Now, I've never taken drugs in my life (apart from marijuana) but I have somehow found myself deeply submerged in the world of psychedelia. Google it.

I don't really need to describe the whole experience on video, but if you're interested in the nitty-gritty details, here's the article:

The point of this video is not to try and convince the world of psychedelics. It's more of a "sharing is caring" type video. Basically from someone who is super critical, cynical and who questions EVERYTHING.

I need answers to almost everything. Maybe you do too, but the whole point of this journey was to both try and "find myself" as well as to seek answers to all the millions of questions I have floating in this cray cray mind of mine.

In a nutshell... here's how it went down.

It was a three-night retreat. Got there way too early, which made me panic even more as my mind started creating all of these weird scenarios... you know the stuff... "what if I die"... "what if I experience nothing"... "what if I see demons"... etc. etc... automatically going to all the bad stuff instead of "what if its amazing"... "what if I enjoy it"... "what if I see angels"... but no. Funny how our brains work.

Anyway.

First night... didn't experience anything. Nothing. I was super disappointed and thought... great. Just as I imagined. There is no god. No afterlife. No nothing...

Second night... was the most beautiful experience of my life. Loved it.

Third night... was crazy. Seriously Bad, call it what you will... I hated it.

I pretty much had all the highs and lows in one weekend. All and all, it was beyond amazing! Truly life changing. Seriously.

It almost feels as though a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Kinda hard to explain if you haven't experienced it.

I just have to say though that an Ayahuasca Ceremony and the like isn't necessarily going to heal you of all your issues, but it does act as an incredible tool to get to where you want to be.

I still have my days where I feel a bit "low", but they are few and far between nowadays. I feel "lighter". Happier. More content. I have more gratitude. Less hate. It's quite astounding to be honest.

The lesson, well one of them at least, from this is that we shouldn't be scared to experience things in life and to seek answers when things don't add up. To live life to the fullest. I believe that we are far too content with all the nonsense the world is feeding us.

My next experience will be psilocybin aka... magic mushrooms... OOHHH... you've turned into a druggie Ru!! Hardly. It's just another experience I feel I need to have. Especially since it apparently does wonders for depression and so on. OH, and I'll keep you posted on that too.

That me for today and as always, I am Ru and what I want to leave you with today is this...

Next time you wonder about something, rather than just reading about it... why not try to experience it. Except killing stuff... rather just read about that. Peace :)
