How to Change Folder color on Mac in macOS Tahoe (MacBook Pro / Air)
Here's how to Change Folder color on Mac, MacBook Pro / Air in macOS Tahoe. Customize folder color on Mac.
Change in Old MacOS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhXOCQ6FRbI
00:00 intro
00:11 Setup color Tags on Mac
00:56 Change Default Folder color Mac
you just hopped on macOS Tahoe and wanna spice up those boring folders with some color, I got you. Lemme walk you through two super-easy ways to do it. Let’s roll.
First off, we gotta set up tags real quick.
Pop open Finder, hit the top menu, click “Finder,” then slide down to “Settings.”
Now tap on the “Tags” tab.
Hit that little plus button to make a new tag, and slap a color on it—like yellow. Right-click it, set it to yellow.
And heads up, don’t forget to flip on the “Tint folders based on Tags” switch at the bottom—without that, the color trick won’t work at all.
Alright, now let’s paint a single folder.
Right-click it (or hold Control and click), then under the “Customize Folder” section, pick the color tag you made.
Boom. Your folder just got a whole new vibe.
Wanna go bigger and change the default color for all untagged folders?
Easy. Hit the Apple menu, open “System Settings,” and head to “Appearance.”
On the right side, under “Folder Color,” choose any preset or go wild with a custom color.
Now every untagged folder—and all the new ones you make—will rock that new color.
Your Finder is gonna look super clean, colorful, and way easier to keep organized.
