In the winter of 1894, railroad conductor Samuel Grady stepped aboard a westbound orphan relocation train carrying thirty one children from Chicago toward Kansas farming communities.

Three days later, four names had vanished from the manifest.

According to Grady, the train stopped somewhere beneath the Kansas prairie during the night inside a massive underground rail chamber that did not appear on any public map.

He claimed another orphan train was already waiting there.

And rows of silent children stood beside a sealed circular door beneath the tracks.
