Temps will surge into the mid-90s on both Tuesday and Wednesday, according to AccuWeather. The heat index will approach 100.

While the temps will near records, they aren't expected to break them. The record for May 19 is 99, set in 1962. And the record for May 20 is 96, set in 1996.
