How to Make a Custom Dress Form

This is a "sew along with me" video as I make my first custom Dress Form, dressmaker dummy. This is from a pattern that I purchased from https://bootstrapfashion.com/
The pattern I purchased was digital, I downloaded it and printed it at home. It used my own personal measurements, so this dressform is customized for my own body! I love that. I took this one step at a time and I love the result. If you are doing this same project, I have marked each step for you, so you can come back and see what I did. I am not an expert sewist and I am not a sewing teacher. I made mistakes, and I will show them to you. I am self taught and I had to figure out a few things that I did not know for this project (thank you google and youtube!). Good Luck! You are going to be SO happy that you made this! I am!!

The first section of my video is printing and cutting pattern pieces, fabric selection and prep, interfacing, etc. Next up is sewing instructions. I'm going to include the first few words of each step, just in case, at sometime in the future, the instructions are changed.

Step 1: 25:41 stitch pipe sleeve
Step 2: 26:28 insert plastic tube...cut fringe
Step 3: 27:17 front inner support to pipe sleeve
Dress Form Stuffing
Page 31
Step 1: 28:31 lay flat...clip curves...attach inner support
Step 2: 30:32 pin neck top to sponge
Step 3: 31:43 stay stitch back base...insert zippers
Step 4: 35:02 insert pipe...add stuffing
Step 5: 35:50 insert cardboard base
